Youth Conditioning Programs Fall 2008

to Twist™ Conditioning’s Fall Youth Athlete Conditioning Programs!
Twist™ Conditioning is a progressive team, driven to re-define sport
conditioning through knowledge, innovation, and experience. Building
champion athletes and winners in life is what we do. This Fall we have a
wide range of Sport Conditioning Programs for young athletes from the
ages of 8-20 years old and from the beginner to elite level. Each
session is 1 hour and 15 minutes in length and participants can choose
to train 1, 2, or 3 sessions per week, depending on the Sport Program.

Cost:
1 sess/week = $30/sess = $360
2 sess/week = $25/sess = $600
3 sess/week = $20/sess = $720

YOUTH
SPORT CONDITIONING PROGRAMS FOR FALL 2008 • SEP 29 - DEC 20 (12 weeks) |
NEW FOR FALL 2008

Pre-fall Warm-up
Youth Sport Conditioning Classes
September 9th - 25th (3 weeks)
Get a
kick start on your training program this Fall with our three week
warm-up sport conditioning classes. Train one or two sessions per
week and get yourself ready for your fall training program and
in-season competition.
Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday from 4:45pm-6:00pm
Cost: $90 - one session per week (3 sessions total)
$150 - two sessions per week (6 sessions total) |

FUNCTIONAL FITNESS
TESTING |
Add on pre and post functional testing
to your program for $99. Test your balance, leg power, conditioning,
core strength, full body strength, agility and more with a group
testing session in Week 1 followed by a post-testing session in your
final week. |

NUTRITION CONSULATION
|
How are your eating habits? Are they
meeting your sport and life goals? Book our new “Nutrition
Consultation” and have our Sports Nutrition Specialist help you
devise an eating plan that will help you achieve your goals. Whether
you want put on weight, decrease body fat, fuel your body for
competition, or increase your energy levels we have the plan for
you. Cost: $150 |
YOUTH SPORT
CONDITIONING |
This program is available for athletes
from a variety of multi-directional sports including hockey, soccer,
basketball, lacrosse, football, rugby, baseball, tennis and
volleyball. Players will train 1 or 2 sessions per week with a focus
on developing the secondary fitness characteristics common in all
multi-directional sports including, speed, agility, reactivity,
balance, rotary power, quickness, and more. |
BASEBALL
CONDITIONING |
Make this off-season count with Twist
Conditioning’s unique and innovative Baseball Development Program.
Our 12 week program will have you physically and mentally prepared
for opening day. This program will utilize specialized baseball
conditioning drills for speed, agility, rotary power, shoulder
stabilization, injury prevention, balance, core strength, and
multi-joint strength to make players more skilful, powerful, and
quicker. |
BASKETBALL
CONDITIONING |
The Twist Basketball-Specific program
will focus on building the physical parameters used in Basketball to
make you a more skilful bball player. Learn how to move more
efficiently and how to extract more power and speed out of your
body. This program will develop rotary core power, speed, agility,
quickness, full-body strength and power, leg power, anaerobic
capacity, balance, and core strength. |
HOCKEY
CONDITIONING |
The Twist In-Season Hockey Conditioning
Program is designed for players to make physical gains in speed,
quickness, strength, reaction, agility, anaerobic conditioning, and
stride power during the season. Players will train these physical
parameters utilizing Peter Twist’s world famous hockey conditioning
methods in one or two 75 minutes workouts per week. Don’t wait until
the season is over to train, it’s too late; capitalize on this 6
month period with Twist’s structured hockey-specific conditioning
program. Programs available for Junior A, Junior B, Midget, Bantam,
and Pee-Wee players. |
SOCCER
CONDITIONING |
Twist’s Soccer conditioning program will
focus on improving soccer-specific strength, power, and movement
skills through Peter Twist’s innovative functional training systems.
The development of linked system strength, rotary power, sport core,
speed, agility and quickness will give you the boost needed to win
challenges to the ball and elevate your game. Train 1, 2 or 3
sessions per week for 1 hour and 15 minutes per session. |
KIDSPORT
CONDITIONING |
Kids Sport Conditioning will teach young
athletes the foundational components of athleticism through a fun,
dynamic and motivating training environment. Children between the
ages of 8 and 11 are at a peak stage for nervous system development.
This means that most of their body awareness, coordination, movement
mechanics and balance will be developed by the age of 12 making it a
critical time for youth athletes to train. The program will focus on
developing movement not muscle. Balance, agility, quickness, core
stability, posture, reactivity and strength will be trained through
fun and challenging drills. Don’t miss this window of opportunity,
join the youth movement!
Cost for 60 minute sessions:
1 sess/week = $25/sess x 12 sessions = $300.
2 sess/week = $25/session x 24 = $600. |

YOGA SPORT |
Whether you are looking to improve your
flexibility and function for activity and performance or you an avid
yoga student, this 75min class will focus on your balance, strength,
coordination, flexibility and core stability. Linking postures
together in a flowing sequence emphasizes continuous steady rhythm
of breath and movement creating an athletic practice. Postures
target tension areas and stiff muscles to compliment your regular
training and performance sessions. This program is taught in the
Twist environment by a certified yoga teacher and conditioning coach
- suitable for all ages. |

REQUIREMENTS
|
All new Youth Athlete
program participants must book an Introduction to Sport Conditioning
Session. This is a one hour 1 on 1 training session in which you
will learn all of the major sport conditioning movement mechanics
and postures. If you have trained with Twist Conditioning in the
past you do not need to take this session. The cost of the session
is $50 and valued at $75. All Introduction to Sport Conditioning
Sessions need to be booked upon registering and completed prior to
your first session. Note: Not a prerequisite for Kidsport
participants. |
